Plans and prices
How much does Talkom cost?
Talkom has a free plan and three paid plans: Starter at $19 a month, Growth at $39 and Scale at $109. Billed annually, they cost $193.80, $397.80 and $1,111.80 a year, which is 15% less. High-volume stores can ask for a custom plan.
Is there a free plan or free trial?
Both. The Free plan costs $0 and includes 50 AI conversations a month. Starter, Growth and Scale each have a 14-day free trial.
Which plan should I choose?
Start from the number of conversations you expect each month: 50 on Free, 110 on Starter, 250 on Growth and 750 on Scale. Then check the features you need. Order tracking starts on Starter, and file upload starts on Growth.
I expect more conversations than my plan includes. Can I get a custom offer?
Yes. Contact us through the chat widget in the Talkom admin or at sales@talkom.ai. For high-volume stores we create plans based on expected usage and traffic.
Conversations and limits
What exactly is counted as 1 AI conversation?
A conversation can contain multiple messages between Talkom and a shopper. It’s session-based and stays open for 7 days after the last message. If the shopper sends another message within that window, the session continues, so a single conversation can span several days and include any type of interaction, from order tracking to product recommendations.
What happens when I reach my monthly AI conversation limit?
Talkom stops responding and shows the message you’ve set under Agent - Instructions in the Talkom admin. You can change that message at any time. To increase your limit, upgrade your plan on the Subscription page in the admin.
Are there overage fees?
No. Plans have a fixed price and you aren’t charged for going over your limit. Talkom stops responding until your counter resets or you upgrade.
Does unused AI usage carry over to the next month?
No. Your counter resets to zero at the start of each billing cycle. You can monitor your usage on the Subscription page in the Talkom admin.
Billing and cancelling
How am I billed?
Through your Shopify invoice, on your regular Shopify bill. Prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes, there’s no long-term commitment. If you’re on a paid plan, you keep access until the end of your current billing period and won’t be charged again.
Do you offer refunds?
Fees are generally non-refundable, and cancelling doesn’t refund a partly used billing period. The exceptions are in our Terms of Service.
Setup and how Talkom works
What is Talkom?
An AI shopping assistant built natively for Shopify. It answers shopper questions about products, policies and orders, recommends products, and can add items to the cart in the chat.
Do I need a developer to set it up?
No. You install it from the Shopify App Store, and setup takes about 5 minutes.
Which languages does Talkom reply in?
It replies in the language the shopper writes in, unless the shopper asks for another one.
What happens when a shopper asks for a human?
If you’ve turned on human handoff, Talkom sends a summary of the conversation to your team’s email address.
